DISCUSSION: Logility Network Optimization is a rapid prototyping, modeling tool. It is designed to provide fast time to value and allow for organizations to move quickly and add detail as necessary.
EXAMPLES:
Minutes--Users can build a one stage distribution model in minutes. They just need to create table of shipments can build a one stage model in minutes using the model makers and import functions.
Required Data:
- Shipment table with: origin postal code, destination postal code, weight of shipment, cost (optional but recommended)
Hours--Users can build out a multiple stage model that represents both freight and facility costs. This will require them to build a demand by geocodable location and identify facility costs in a per unit basis:
Required Data:
- Demand Data by address or postal code
- Facility list by address or postal code
- Facility costs by location in terms of cost per unit
- Optional: Lanes data--what facilities serve which
- Optional: Benchmark data--what was the total cost of freight by mode or sample of freight costs
