Definition: A demand row in a customer can have a designated "Preferred Mode" when a lane is created to the customer, this preferred mode will take precedence over the nominal mode of the lane.

Example: Below is a customer that has three demand rows for the same customer. 1/3 of the flow will be FTL, 1/3 will be LTL, and 1/3 will be by the lane's default mode (Ground Parcel).

Alternative: If you wish to create a scenario that does not defer to preferred mode, you can delete that assignment (only within the scenario) by going to Sextant>>Delete>>Remove Preferred Modes on Demands
