Definition
Density Class is a measurement which applies to the LTL mode of transportation and allows for standard pricing across LTL carriers. It is found in the products tab of the "Configuration" section of the Model Manager.
This metric helps determine the tariffs LTL carriers must pay to transport goods, in turn affecting the cost of shipping and therefore affects the cost that Navigator assigns to product flow via the LTL mode of transportation.
