Definition
A mode is the means of conveying your product down a lane.
A user will assign modes to lanes when they perform the following actions:
Manually connect two nodes.
Use a solver and designate the mode to use.
Upload a scenario with the "Lanes" tab filled out.
Data Rules
Each Lane has one mode designated the primary.

Multi-mode lanes
Service Lanes can be multi-mode if the customer has different Preferred Modes set.
