Overview
Calibrating a BASELINE SCENARIO is the first step to generating believable scenarios. In order to calibrate the baseline, it is important to duplicate the critical costs in your existing network.
For a model in which only Logility reference data is used, an easy way to calibrate transportation costs is to take the total historical transportation cost for each mode in your model (relative to the time frame you are modeling) and calibrate the Discount Factor found in the Transportation menu in the Configuration settings for each individual mode. This will ensure that the total cost for each mode aligns with the total historical cost, and, coupled with the statistical accuracy of Starboard's reference data, will ensure that transportation rates will closely align with historical rates.
