Logility provides layers of reference data used to calculate costs, times and distances for many supply chain attributes.  The availability of these may vary by geography.  Individual subscribers have access to our standard set of data and enterprise users may load their own.

TRANSPORTATION REFERENCE DATA

-  Truckload rates and times -- our truckload rates are based on historic costs per unit of distance.  They reflect a long running average.  The times and distances are actual drive times and distance.   The source of the data is Logility's proprietary FTL history database.

-  LTL rates and times -- we put in an LTL tariff that can be calibrated by weight break and product density.  Times are an average across several carriers and are represented in whole days.  The source is Logility's proprietary LTL tariff that is based on inputs from 3PL partners.

-  Parcel rates and times -- We use standard carriers and zones to calculate a list rate for parcel.  You will probably have to provide your own discount.  The source is a sampling of standard carrier rate tables.

- Intermodal rates and times -- Inter-model times are variable so we have added in an approximation for these--it is based a formula derived from working with two leading rail carriers.  If you have your own lane by lane rates, you are able to enter these in to be more precise.

GEOGRAPHIC REFERENCE DATA

- Labor rates  -- Labor rates are derived from census data and represent an average industrial labor cost per hour.  These usually vary by metro area.  But for enterprise customers we can break this all the way down to zip code prefix.  Where local data is available, it is populated down to postal codes.  When local rates are not available, country level rates are determined from the ILO:  https://www.ilo.org/shinyapps/bulkexplorer38/?lang=en&segment=indicator&id=EAR_HEES_SEX_OCU_NB_A

Where Logility can, we do get specific by country.  For example, the US uses Bureau of Labor Statistics data: https://www.bls.gov/bls/blswage.htm

- Lease rates  -- Lease rates are derived from commercial real estate reports and census data.  They represent an average commercial real estate cost per area.  These usually vary by metro area.  But for enterprise customers we can break this all the way down to zip code prefix. Where local data is available, it is populated down to postal codes.  When local rates are not available, country level rates are determined from the World Population Review Rent index found here: https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/cost-of-living-by-country

Rates are all updated annually or as required.  Logility announces any changes by its regular newsletter.
